2nd Germany Hawaii Clean Energy Symposium

Germany and Hawaii share an ambitious vision: Germany aims to generate 80% of its electricity from renewables by 2050, while Hawaii has set the goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045. Today, almost 40% of German electricity is generated by renewables. To get there, Germany had to acquire new skills and expertise on how to efficiently transform the energy sector.

The German Trade Mission is hosting a complimentary full-day conference on renewable energy and energy efficiency to facilitate knowledge transfer and collaboration on clean energy between the Hawaiian Islands and Germany. The goal is to create bilateral partnerships to learn from each other and overcome the challenges of renewable energy grid integration together.
