Todd Apo helps to lead the Ward Village development and oversees community and government relations, public relations, corporate citizenship and the company's philanthropic efforts throughout Hawaiʻi. After seven years as a real estate attorney at two law firms, his career path has provided leadership positions with the Walt Disney Corporation as Director of Public Affairs at Disney's Aulani Resort, Vice President of Corporate Development for Ko Olina Resort, as well as, six-years on the Honolulu City Council where he served as Council Chairman and Budget Chair. Apo is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and holds a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Hawaiʻi, and B.A. from Brown University in Computer Science and Economics. Apo currently serves on multiple non-profit boards serving the local community - including Make-a-Wish, Boys & Girls Club, Special Olympics, Bishop Museum and Child and Family Services.
Dr. Gordon K. Squires
Communications, Education and Public Outreach Lead
Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT)
Squires leads the TMT International Workforce Development, Education, Public Outreach and Communications (WEPOC) efforts. His team-the IPAC Communications and Education team-is co-located at Caltech and provides support for a number of astronomy and physics-related projects, including TMT, NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, the Herschel Space Observatory, the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, Galaxy Evolution Explore, Kepler, LIGO and the IPAC archives.
Squires received his Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Toronto in 1995. He was awarded the Doctoral Prize by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council for the most outstanding Ph.D. thesis in Canada, and the Plaskett Medal by the Canadian Astronomical Society for the most outstanding thesis in astronomy, both in 1995. His research explores the old, distant universe, enabling us to better understand how galaxies evolved and formed billions of years ago, and probing into the nature of the dark matter via weak gravitational lensing.
Eric K. Yeaman
President and Chief Operating Officer
First Hawaiian Bank
Eric Yeaman joined First Hawaiian Bank as President and Chief Operating Officer on June 22, 2015. He oversees the bank's Retail Banking Group as well as its Strategic Planning and Investor Relations, Digital Banking, Enterprise Technology, Operations Services and Bank Properties Divisions. He is also a member of the bank's Senior Management Committee.
Mr. Yeaman currently serves on the nonprofit boards of the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation and Friends of Hawaii Charities. In addition, he is a director of Alaska Air Group, Alexander & Baldwin, and Hawaiian Telcom and a member of the Hawaii Asia Pacific Association. Mr. Yeaman was born and raised in Kona, Hawaii, earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree (with distinction) in accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a certified public accountant in the State of Hawaii.
