Dan Clegg
Hawaii Business Operations Lead
Monsanto Company
Clegg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana Illinois. He grew up on a family grain and livestock farm in Jacksonville, Illinois and he is a Navy Veteran. He and his brothers still own their family farm of 3 generations, which recently celebrated its 75th year anniversary.
In his previous positions with Monsanto Company, over the past 19 years, he has developed many land and water systems for agricultural use. This includes in-field and facility development, short and long-term capital plans, real estate investments and divestment. Real estate management to include the establishment of the Ag Park at Kunia, and daily operations with a focus on resource conservation. In his current role with Monsanto, Dan’s primary focus is to provide key leadership for the cross-functional Monsanto Hawaii Leadership Team which includes Corporate Relations, Online Communications, State & Local Gov’t Affairs, Supply Chain Leadership, Breeding Leadership, HR, ESH and Security. Dan has and continues to develop short and long-term strategies to secure and maintain a sustainable operational base for Monsanto’s agricultural activities in the State of Hawaii.
Bryan Luke
President & COO
Hawaii National Bank
Bryan Luke is the president and chief operating officer of Hawaii National Bank. As chief operating officer, he has overall operational and strategic responsibility for the bank. Luke has more than 19 years of experience in finance. He previously worked for Standard & Poor’s and PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing financial consulting services in the areas of valuation analysis, operational efficiency, and industry and economic research for local, national, and international clients.
Bryan serves on various industry committees for the American Bankers Association and it the current board chair of the Western Independent Bankers Association. He has also been involved in a number of community boards such as the Hawaii Community Reinvestment Corporation, the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council, and the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific.
Luke holds a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College in Massachusetts and an MBA from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Business.
Michael Stollar
President and COO
HMSA
Michael Stollar has been with HMSA for 30 years. During his tenure, he’s spent time in numerous departments and led an array of initiatives including underwriting, information technology, corporate planning, product development, dental management, e-business, marketing and communications, and health systems development. He’s led undertakings as diverse as running a statewide network of dental centers, creating an online advanced directives repository, establishing a health care business incubator, and developing the first health plan-driven, on-demand, interactive cable television station in the country. He oversaw HMSA’s go-to-market campaign for its online care platform and was responsible for its early stage payment transformation efforts.
Michael Stollar was named president and chief operations officer effective January 1, 2017. In his new role, Mr. Stollar will continue to advance HMSA’s Mahie 2020 vision of providing access to quality, affordable care by building a community system of health that improves the overall health and well-being of its members and the state of Hawaii.
Hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Stollar made his way to Hawaii via a three-year Peace Corps stint in the beautiful Kingdom of Tonga. He holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Ohio University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Tufts University.
Stollar has served on the boards of the Honolulu Bulls Soccer Club, Special Olympics Hawaii, and Temple Emanu-El, and currently serves on the board of the Aloha United Way and with the Hawaii Military Affairs Council.
