About Us

Teach For America works in partnership with urban and rural communities in more than 50 regions across the country to expand educational opportunity for children. Founded in 2006, Teach For America Hawai‘i has recruited and supported more than 875 leaders, many of whom are working across career sectors—including education, law, business, medicine, and government—to improve the opportunities of young people and fight for educational equity. Today, Teach For America is a network of nearly 60,000 leaders committed to profound systemic change.
