Position Overview
Clay Partnering is seeking a Research and Writing Associate with a passion for big ideas and practical impact. This role combines deep intellectual inquiry with hands-on operational work in a small, innovative environment. You’ll explore the intersections of psychology, philosophy, and law, and help communicate those insights through writing, research, and collaboration.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals while helping to launch a business that aspires to spark a positive paradigm shift in how people and institutions collaborate.

What You’ll Do
• Conduct interdisciplinary research in psychology, philosophy, and law, connecting theory with real-world applications.
• Draft, edit, and publish articles, reports, educational materials, and social media posts.
• Assist with communications, technology, and administrative tasks supporting the organization’s operations and services (e.g. website maintenance and presentation rehearsals).
• Help maintain bookkeeping and coordinate business logistics.
• Outreach to potential clients and relationship-building with clients.

• Work closely with a retired attorney and a small team dedicated to innovation and service.

Who You Are
• A strong researcher and writer who can synthesize complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Curious about human behavior, ethics, and how systems can improve society.
• Comfortable working independently, learning new technology, and managing multiple priorities.
• Patient, flexible, and collaborative.
• Background in psychology, philosophy, law, or business preferred, but an exceptional recent graduate with strong writing and analytical skills will also be considered.
